(1) 常用制动，常用制动力分为 1～7N，进行延迟控制。延迟时，将 M 车产生的多余制动力从
T 车上减去，作为编组确保必要的制动力。另外，具备随载荷变化调整制动力的功能，无论车辆的质量如何，都可保持一定减速度的控制。(2) 快速制动，快速制动在手动制动操作或 ATP指令动作时实施。(3) 紧急制动，在列车分离、MR 压力下降、手柄“拔出位”动作。不具备随载荷变化调整制动力的功能。(4) 辅助制动，为在制动控制器不良、制动指令线断线、救援时等使用的目的而设。通过操作驾驶台的设定开关以及各个单元（T 车）的配电盘开关来进行工作，制动力保持一定，与速度无关，和常用、快速制动是不同的。还有,因为制动控制器（BCU）还对电动空气压缩机、开闭车门速度等进行控制,即便是在使用辅助制动时，制动控制装置的电源也不能切断。(5) 耐雪制动，为了防止降雪时制动盘和闸瓦之间进雪,轻轻压紧闸瓦,以封闭闸片和制动盘之间的间隙为目的而装备的。速度 110km/h 以下、操作耐雪制动开关并操作司机制动控制器手柄来运行。BC 压力设定在 60±20kPa，通过制动控制器的开关操作可进行设定值
